In March, I got to travel to Europe to participate in the workshop, Exploring Boundaries: Phonological Domains in the Languages of the World, held at the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø—the northernmost university in the world.
I presented a poster on Evidence for the Syllable in Domain Generalization. I also got to (re)connect with several UCSC alumni and emeritus faculty, as well as colleagues from all over the world. It was very cool to explore Tromsø, see the aurora borealis (almost every night), and learn about Norway, as well as about the syntax-phonology interface.
